Here ya go, folks. First trip out with your rod. Fish of a lifetime. A toad like this might be normal for the Sportsman's Paradise but in NC it is a citation-class fish. She was 10 lbs 4 oz, March 22, 2008 abt 3 pm at Tuckertown Reservoir on the Yadkin River. Just south of high Rock Lake - site of several BASSMaster's Classics and other national tournaments.
When I first handled the blank, this is what I wanted to do with it and where I wanted to fish it . The rod performed EXACTLY like I wanted and expected in this application. It was perfect!
Oh, and I built (assembled) the jig I caught her on too!

I wanted to tell you that I received my full order the other day and everything looked great. I can't think of a better way to package those blanks for protection, that was really nice. I am new to the rod building craft and really appretiate the time you took with me making sure I understood what I needed and that I got the right componentes for each rod.
